Lavazza is located in the eastern part of Taipei, where cafe are ubiquitous. Despite its many competitors, Lavazza stands out on account of its mature style. With over a century of history and culture, the company's pamphlet says it well: "If you've never tried Lavazza, you've never had good coffee." During afternoon teatime, from 2 to 6 pm, blue-ribbon homemade cakes are offered. The Americano (NT$90), also known as Italian American style, is 60cc of espresso in a large mug with double the amount of hot water and milk added to each individual's preference for a taste similar to American-style coffee, but creamier. The Cappuccino is one-third espresso, one-third hot milk, and one-third foam, sprinkled with cocoa powder or cinnamon; the Cappuccino Royal (NT$120) is flavored with lemon zest. The Caffe Latte (NT$120), Latte Mocha (NT$120), and Espresso Melange (NT$100) are all popular choices. --By Josie Wu
