The All-You-Can-Eat Lantern Szechwan Restaurant, formerly the Ma La Pu Tsu, now combines culinary culture with club-style management for an innovative presentation of Szechwan cuisine buffet with hip music and old-fashioned decor. The latest innovations in Szechwan cuisine are featured, such as the popular appetizer Fly Heads, the Hunan Egg, the Old Skin Tender Meat, the Chengtu Pepper Chicken, and boiled dishes made fresh on the spot. Prices are reasonable: NT$390 per person (business lunch NT$180). When asked why the restaurant is named "Lantern," owner Golden says proudly that it refers to an old saying that means this is the best place for value. --By Josie Wu
