     Walk into Panini and it is quite obvious that this restaurant has taken great pains with its decor to create a pleasant environment for diners looking to escape work and other cares. Natural rocks, wood, bamboo, raised ceilings and French windows are part of this post-modern structure. In addition to the seats on first and second floor, there is a barbecue area outside. Roof-top seats will be added soon, allowing future visitors to enjoy the views of the Wuchuan Parkway while they dine.
This Chinese-style casual dining restaurant has a variety of dishes from Japan, Taiwan and China's Guangdong, Fujian, Sichuan, Shandong and Shanghai. This selection of different regions is mixed and recreated by a five-star chef. The Stir Fried Salty Pork With Baby Leeks is found in nearly every restaurant, but no one does it like Panini, which uses homemade salty pork instead of cured meat and stir fries with wine for a delicious experience. Marinating young ganders in shaohsing wine for a day is part of creating another dish, Marinated Goose With Shaohsing Wine (NT$160); the first bite fills the mouth with the aroma of shaohsing wine.
The Fried Squid With Garlic (NT$260) is one of the chef's masterpieces. First, he deep fries the squid rolls, then adds a sauce made from jujubes, white gourd candies, orange peel, cinnamon petals and Worcestershire sauce, before finally stir frying for a crispy, rich flavor. The Fried Crab With Sweet Sauce (NT$320) is a traditional HongKong dish that presents deep fried crabs with different spices. Finally, the Fried Chicken With Chili And Peanuts In Szechwan Style (NT$180) makes a great hors d'oeuvres with dried chilis.
Whiskey, red wines, beers, and warm and cold sake are all available, but drinking and card games are not allowed to ensure a quality dining environment. The dishes are freshly made according to your dining speed. With its high-end service and low-end prices, Panini is a good choice for dining and drinking with friends, both indoors during the winter and outdoors during the summer.
