Saigon Coffee breaks away from the mold of sidewalk cafes
that have bloomed in Kaohsiung by providing coffee with a
unique taste. Their specialty, Vietnam coffee (NT$55), is
the best example. With authentic Vietnamese coffee beans and
a small filter, you can literally see coffee drops pour into
the cup. It is like you are watching a table service in a
busy street of Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, they use condensed
milk in the coffee, adding to the already unique taste. Saigon
Coffee also sells coffee powder, which they import from Vietnam,
to ensure you have Vietnamese flavor whenever you want it.
Besides Vietnam coffee, Vietnam Lily Tea (NT$35) and Swiss
Vanilla (NT$40) come highly recommended. Rich fragrant drinks
need a tasty meal and Saigon Coffee has it all. The Pho Bo
set Vietnam beef noodles (NT$120) are worth a try. So is the
Pan Fried Fish (NT$170) as those who are familiar with Vietnamese
food will attest. --Written and translated by Yang Chunpei |
