Coffee Aisle has actually been in business for more than 10
years. It was originally located in a small alley off of MinQuan
West Road and moved to its current location earlier this year.
The cafe slow brews its coffee the traditional way, ensuring
a rich taste. Moreover, all coffees are a reasonable NT$50
per cup. The selection is not large--only conventional coffees
like Blue Mountain and latte are available. There is no soft
music playing in the background, and there are no pretentious
decorations. Most of the customers here are middle-aged and
consider themselves coffee connoiseurs. The food menu is also
limited and includes thick toast (NT$30) and homemade dumplings
(NT$60). One can enjoy looking out the large picture window
at the maple trees and listening to the Chinese, Taiwanese
and Japanese conversations, or watching as the owner's wife
brews coffee while chatting with the customers at the bar.--By
