This cafe is located in a lane off of the TongHua night market and is owned by a painter/designer. Its artistic look is in sharp contrast to the bustling night market. Inside is a harmonious blend of Eastern and Western art. Behind the bar area is a Renoir entitled "At the Inn of Mother Anthony". Next to the painting are some beautiful ceramic ornaments, all produced by the owner himself. There is also a collection of reproduced antiques, including a Ching Dynasty birdcage hung from the ceiling. Part of the cafe is meant to be an interior courtyard, complete with a tall tree, for which the cafe is named. If you like coffee, try the house blend (NT$110). It possesses a creamy milk flavor and flower fragrance. The food menu includes boneless chicken drumstick marinated in tea (NT$200), a very popular choice. To avoid waiting, reservations are recommended during meal times.--By Selena Huang
