The Kungkuan area near National Taiwan University is a popular
student shopping destination and also features a number of
eateries to choose from. Those who prefer Western food will
not want to miss out on this establishment. The food is homemade,
authentic and served in an elegant atmosphere. But, don't
let the decor scare you away, as the prices are actually very
reasonable. The first thing you will notice are the large
red and white leather chairs and the European-style decorative
touches. Soft music plays in the background, adding to the
feeling of sophistication. This restaurant is separated into
a reading area, private dining rooms, and karaoke area, which
enable customers to enjoy themselves, whether they prefer
a noisy party or quiet relaxation. The house specialty is
the German-style pig's knuckle. This restaurant is also well
known for its apertifs, which are sweet, sour and cool, a
perfect start to a good meal. Economic set meals are NT$299.
The main course is served with seafood puff pastry soup, and
all-you-can-eat salad bar.--By Leon Chiang
