This unique coffee shop is located close to the MRT Damshui
Line. The first and second floors are enclosed in glass, which
makes this somewhat small three-story building appear larger.
The third floor is decorated like an outdoor cafe. The owner,
Miss Hsieh, says that the design gives an unconstrained view
of the MRT trains passing by, one of the special features
of this coffee shop. The opening of Orange Sees MRT is a dream
come true for Miss Xie. Her other fondness is the island of
Bali, thus, this coffee shop has a Bali-style ¡§feel¡¨
to it. Another unique feature is that alternative music is
played, with a DJ performing live every Friday, Saturday and
Sunday. In addition, on Friday nights, there are Thai-style
fire dance performances, an art form rarely seen in Taiwan.
The menu features a variety of coffees including Mandeling
and Blue Mountain. The caramel milk tea is a good choice for
non-coffee drinkers, and is made with fresh milk, tea leaves,
hazelnuts and caramel. Cocktails and light alcoholic drinks
are available at night.-by Josephine Lin |
