Located in the busy area around the National Taiwan Normal
University, Pisces Cafe is decorated in the traditional Mediterranean
colors of blue and white and is a popular hangout for students.
This cafe is named for the owner's star sign. There are many
kinds of drinks and any of them go for half price when you
order a meal or snack. A very interesting feature of this
cafe is the fact that most of the cups and plates are from
the owner's personal collection. One of the house specials,
Arabian coffee, is mixed with milk, honey and a pinch of salt,
which gives two very different tastes as the drink changes
temperature. First, it tastes bitter and then the taste of
the milk and honey spreads. Pisces Coffee is also well worth
a try. There are also various teas, including fruit tea, tangerine
tea, "12-star sign fruit tea" imported from England,
and Chinese tea, as well as imported wines, mixed drinks and
various beers. The minimum charge per customer is NT$120. |
