A unique weekend: Explore shopping, dining and nightlife in Singapore
By Josie Wu Translated by Ann Lee
Apart from all the native delicacies and shopping centers, Singapore is home to Clarke Quay, a strip of theme restaurants and bars that are perfect for visitors. Once a working factory, the St. James Power Station, which opened up last year, is full of different night clubs and fun spots for an unforgettable weekend. Besides getting in on the Singapore GP Season, you can also take a ride in the world's tallest Ferris Wheel--the Singapore Flyer. From October 17 to 26, you can also take part in the 2008 Singapore Sun Festival.
From now until November, you can participate in the "One City, Three Festivals" celebration. This event gives visitors the chance to experience three different cultures, all in one journey. Travel packages, on sale until November 14, include a weekend flight to Singapore with buy-2-get-1-free accommodation specials. For more information, go to visitsingapore.com/weekends.
