Halloween in Hong Kong
By Josie Wu Translated by Ann Lee
Though the energy of Hong Kong is vibrant enough on its own, celebrating Halloween in this city gives a new perspective to the bustling cosmopolitan community.
From now until November 2, international visitors can look forward to "Halloween in Hong Kong", a collection of spookily-themed tourist attractions. Visitors can visit seasonally-decorated Hong Kong Disneyland, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, and the Hong Kong Ocean Park. These attractions will host Halloween-related activities, bands and restaurant specials.
Five local travel agencies are offering Halloween packages in Hong Kong; all of the packages boast early leaving flights and late-returning flights with Cathay Pacific. For a 3-Day-2-Night package, the total cost starts at NT$7,499/person for accommodation at the Disney Hollywood Hotel. Tai Hong Travel is also offering a 4-day Hong Kong-Macau Independent Tour, with two nights in a hotel in downtown Hong Kong, one night in Macau's Venetian Macao Resort Hotel, a half-day city tour, and a exquisite Hong Kong meal-- starting at NT$6,999.
