*August artist--Daniel Desjardins

Daniel Desjardins is an artist from Canada who resides in Taipei. He is a founder of Beat Studio and Gallery. He graduated with a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Ottawa. His portraits, landscapes and still lives are bold and thoughtful depictions of the world around him and within him. He uses memory, fantasy and reality to achieve his goals.

"Le pichat", combines oil and acrylic on canvas. This image fuses object and animal to create a new entity and a new identity for lost love ones. It's an homage to life and death, food and drink.
