The
long, hot, sunny days are back, so it's time
to turn up the WOW! Factor with this season's
hottest swimsuits styles, ranging from wild
tropical African prints to sexy slashes, sporty
stripes to classic modern blacks and whites!
Looking one's best on the beach is not always the most ego-boosting experience
if the suit is wrong. Most designers, it seems, forget that 90 percent
of the world's females aren't itsy bitsy. But worry not, for this season's
swimwear collection caters to all heavenly bodies. In fact, this season
sees the launch of the largest-ever swimwear collection for each body
type. Designers have gone so far as to create suits that not only hide
tummies, but create curves and elongate legs and hide butts.
Slim Tummy: A well cut
one-piece in a very bold print helps camouflage
bulges, whittling the middle to create
a smoother, more lean line. Or, if that's
too much print, why not try vertical stripes
which elongate--a girl can't ever be too
tall!
Creating Curves: Feeling
like a surfboard? Fear not, playing with
patterns is the best way to create the
perfect illusion of a more feminine curvy
silhouette. Why not try mixing horizontal
stripes that elongate with diagonal stripes
that widen. Cut outs, especially on the
back, are also great to fill out one's
figure and make it appear less boyish.
A scoop neck and larger stripes on the
top of a halter style creates cleavage
while a demi-cup makes breasts appear fuller!
Looking leaner: This season's
halter styles and plunging neck lines are
the perfect way to not only elongate your
torso but also clinch it in. Subtle ruching
and pin-tuck details around the tummy and
breast are great camouflage tools, too--especially
on a backless or strap suit, as this helps
flaunt your bony bits.
Hide Butt: With sporty
bottoms, flirty skirts and wraps, today's
full cover suits are far from nun-like.
An A-lined swimsuit mini is a very chic
way to achieve this season's look. For
a more sassy type, why not try the boy
short bottoms with a ban due top. And if
its more butt that you want, then try suits
with cargo-pocket details on the rear--great
shape creators!
