The Dalongtong Bao An Temple is a Grade II historic relic
which has undergone seven years of restoration. This year
is also the 1025th birthday of the temple god Baoshengdadi,
and the temple is holding three months of celebrations from
April 6 to July 16. From June 13 to15, a ceremony that is
quite rare will be held to thank the gods for protecting believers
during the period of restoration. This will be a rich folk
custom carnival. These three months of celebrations will show
the religious beliefs of Taiwanese people, plus Taiwan's religious
art. There will also be a three-month "surname game"
and a variety of other traditional activities. Anyone with
an interest in old art cannot miss this cultural feast. --By
