      Following six months of refurbishing, the aging Social Education Hall has made a reappearance with a shiny new modern look and a new name--the Metropolitan Hall. It will however continue as a multi-function space for musical, drama and dance.                performances. The outdoor staircase is now covered with greenery, and there is a new transparent elevator, giving a Louvre-type feel. All the seats inside have been changed, the space between has been increased, and a central aisle added. A deluxe changing room for performers has also been added. There are coffee and exhibition areas. Even if you don't go for a show, pop in for a coffee and get a feel for Taipei's vibrant art scene. -- By Ken Lin
