Though it may sound strange, the name Kolewa refers to the special clay furnaces that the chefs use to prepare all the dishes at this high-end, all-you-can-eat restaurant. The owner, Mr. Jiang, has had a lot of experience running restaurants in the past; his expertise is part of what makes a nice dining experience at Kolewa. Here, you can choose from hot stir-fries, seafood or grilled dishes for a very affordable NT$99 each! Every so often, they will have running specials as well. This month, they have a buy-three-get-one-free deal. The manager recommends their Salted Grill Matsusaka Pork, Clam with Basil, and Icelandic Codfish Liver. --By Josie Wu, translated by Ann Lee

A.The Kolewa Beef & Salmon (set meal for NT$198) is a great combination full of flavor. Make sure to order a pot of Fruit & Vegetable Juice as well; it's made with cucumber, brown sugar and honey.

B. At the fried shrimp counter, you'll find freshly prepared salads (NT$30) as well as Fried Shrimp with Vegetables (NT$40). Chicken drumsticks and grilled oysters will be on the menu in the near future.
