The head chef of Giorgio, Giorgio
Trivia, brings to customers not only fabulous food,
but also an intense introduction of his hometown,
Verona (that's right, Romeo and Juliet's Verona.).
Giorgio tells of the famous Juliet sculpture which,
if rubbed on its right chest, will bring to you
prosperity to your love life. Another famous Juliet
landmark is her balcony from which she called for
her Romeo. The balcony is covered in love declarations
in multiple languages engraved by visitors. Aside
from all the romantic tourist destinations, Giorgio
reminisces and emphasizes on the Italian way of
cookery. Though the euro is soaring, Giorgio still
provides his customers with imported goods and
does not cut corners with quality. Giorgio's restaurant
isn't like other Italian eateries – infused
with American, Japanese or Taiwan flavors. Instead,
Giorgio's is genuinely authentic and definitely
nothing like you've experienced before.
It is a hard task for Giorgio to recommend dishes
to his customers. He believes, because of everyone's
different personalities, that everything is worth
a taste. The Tortelloni Ai Porcini/ Dumpling with
Cheese and Porcini Mushroom (NT$350) is simple
and savory. The Gnocchi 4 Formaggi/ Gnocchi Quattro
Forage is rich and thick in flavor. Giorgio's pizzas
are also worth a try as they are made on the spot.
Also, Giorgio offers a Juliet and Romeo Set (for
two NT$1980). He emphasizes that the set isn't
just for Valentine's Day but, rather, something
to be enjoyed all the time. Just the entree of
the set includes rib eye, half a chicken and lamb.
This set is only served at dinnertime. Enjoy the
meal with a glass of Italian red wine and you'll
be on your way into a fine night.
