A
new shop, Kindori, specializing in fresh fruit ice-cream
has opened up close to Tienshang Park. Though Kindori's
exterior billboard is not much to look at and the
store is a rookie ice-cream shop, its popularity
more than makes up for it. Curious about just how
good Kindori ice-cream is? Just take a look at their
top-notch, Japanese ice-cream maker. It produces
milk-based ice-cream for which customers choose fresh
fruit to flavor with. The ice-cream is then placed
on top of a sheet of crispy crepe which is made right
before your eyes. Each bite is a burst of flavors
and textures too amazing for words. All 20 types
of fruits, combined with the vanilla ice-cream, are
low in calories and wonderfully rejuvenating. The
owner proclaims that “the customers come here
for the products, not the name.” He was definitely
not bluffing as the vanilla ice-cream is made from
vanilla beans costing NT$20,000 to NT$30,000 a kilogram.
The chocolate used here, Valrhona, hails from France.
The fresh fruit is purchased locally. Who would have
thought a Taiwan-based ice-cream shop would be so
refreshing and of high-quality? |
