Located across from Landis Taipei, Dian Shui Lao won accolades during its soft opening period because of the efforts of Chef Chung. Chef Chung has more than 20 years of experience baking steamed dumplings and Chinese pastries. Inspired by a combination of inventive spirit and tradition, Chung has created a new Dim Cha culture. The Steamed Soup Dumplings (NT$250) and Steamed Dumplings (NT$150) are items you don't want to miss. Handmade wraps with a thick base but thin top, the dumplings are filled with a special meat filling. Eaten with shredded ginger and vinegar, they are exceptional. Moreover, the Crab Dumplings (NT$250), Shrimp Dumplings (NT$170), Red Bean Dumplings (NT$150), Chicken Soup (NT$150) and Wine Chicken Soup (NT$240) are all strongly recommended by Mr. Chen, the associate general manager. --By Josie Wu
