This noodle restaurant affords customers the chance to savor Japanese style handmade udon noodles. Not only did Head Chef Chen study in Japan, he imports all his cooking ingredients from that country, including chill powder, miso paste, garlic paste and soy sauce to spice up his dishes. Chen also uses standard ten-inch bowls, the type that's used in Japan's traditional noodles shops and which are ample enough for noodles to expand while plumping in hot broth. Chen's broth is fresh and delicious and welcomed by patrons. The menu includes other Japanese style meals like cod liver, cattail fried eel, pork steak, charcoal roasted beef steak, fried shrimp, autumn sword fish, and smoked salmon. Meal sets that combine udon noodles, vegetables and a drink cost not more than NT$200.--By Selena Huang
