The name of this eatery appears to be a garbled mouthful.
But, there is a story behind it. Er Ya Shu Xin Yi Ting was
a bookstore that had been in business for 15 years, but was
forced to close for the complete renovation of the building
it was located in. Kuang Sheng Foods is the name of a Shanghai-style
restaurant that has been in business for over 30 years. The
owner, Mr. Chen, decided to combine these two old names into
a brand-new dream. This restaurant mostly serves traditional
Shanghainese cuisine. Some of the unique set meals include
ribs cooked with spring onions. This is a popular place for
Japanese tourists to enjoy Taiwanese tea and taste traditional
Taiwanese snacks. These include red bean cake, glutinous rice
balls in sweet soup and specially-flavored eggs.--By Wen-ying
