The beautiful view here begins early on, while visitors are walking up the stone steps. The owner, Mr. Tsai, an artist and designer by education, built up this small urban paradise on his own brick by brick and tile by tile. The food here is excellent, as Mr. Tsai wanted to overcome the impression that gourmet food is hard to find outside the city center. He hired a first-class chef that specializes in various traditional Taiwanese dishes, including Passion Fruit Prawns (NT$320), Orange Juice Pork Ribs (NT$280) and tofu (NT$180). In addition to the restaurant, there is a hot springs area. Even though Rock Spring occupies a large stretch of land, the owner built only five family pools, to allow customers plenty of space to relax and stroll through the beautiful scenery. This is also a good place to while away a leisurely afternoon or evening while enjoying a pot of tea and a chat with friends.
