This new, high-end fitness center--located
directly opposite Idee Department Store--claims
to be Taichung's largest, with a total of 2,400
pings of space on four floors. Despite its size,
Momo doesn't have a crowded, big-gym feel to it,
bearing closer resemblance to an upscale health
club and spa, starting with the spacious lobby,
which looks more like something from a hotel.
Among the center's main facilities is a very attractive
international-class 25-meter indoor swimming pool
with adjacent men's and women's whirlpool and
spa facilities and a Balinese-style outdoor garden
area. Upstairs is the workout area, equipped with
a full set of machines and free weights. Among
the more unique features is a state-of-the-art,
upright tanning booth that does its work within
10 minutes. Coming soon are individual VIP workout
rooms (available for an extra fee), which allow
customers to work out and shower up in full privacy.
A wide range of over 60 classes are held each
week, including yoga, Latin-style dance, spinning,
aerobics, children's international-class dance,
and special sessions for pregnant women. The fourth
floor has a more beauty and spa facilities, as
well as a large function room with over 200 pings
of space, which may be rented out for a variety
of activities. Light meals and a juice bar will
also be available here soon. Momo is offering
a variety of opening-period discounts on its memberships,
with annual fees ranging from NT$20,000 for 18
months to NT$9,900 for four months. |
