For those who have dreamed of enjoying a full-screen movie in the comfort of their home, a solution has arrived in the form of Taiwan's first Warner Village Gold Class cinema. Located on the seventh floor of Tiger City mall (next to the soon-to-open Angsana City Club), this theater offers unprecedented luxury. Customers enter through a swanky foyer with dark wood walls, red velvet chairs and black marble floors. Here, they can relax and order from a menu which includes champagne, fine wines, beers, cakes, light meals and other snacks like hot dogs and popcorn. These are delivered by uniformed staff to patrons inside theater. There are two full-size Gold Class theaters, respectively containing 30 and 40 luxurious Lazy Boy-style chairs can go to a full reclining position if one wants. In between each pair of chairs is a table equipped with a built-in ice bucket for champagne or wine. The price is NT$350/person until April 17, when the price rises to NT$400. Ten-ticket discount books, with NT$50 off each movie, are also sold, and regular tickets may be bought in person (on first or seventh floors), by telephone or Internet. Theaters may also be rented for private or corporate parties, meetings and other events, including KTV sessions.
