Dream Flying French & Italian

27, GuoAn 1st Rd, Xitun Dist
停業 Closed

With over 11 years of culinary experience, owner Peng Hsi-wen has crafted a menu combining eastern flavors with western cooking techniques in dishes such as Thai Lemongrass Noodle with Clams (NT$300) and a potato-filled Seafood Pancake (NT$180, 3 pieces). An Italian-style pasta, the Seafood Spaghetti with Huadiao Wine (NT$350) incorporates a familiar Chinese ingredient for a nuanced "East meets West" fusion. Although specializing in pasta, the restaurant also features an impressive American Choice Grilled Freeze Fillet Steak 5 oz. (pictured, NT$680), prepared sous vide for a moist, tender, and evenly-cooked center. The Luxe Seafood Plate with Chef's Sauce (pictured, NT$420) includes generously-sized prawns, Hokkaido scallops and Canadian mussels, with the sauce changing according to the chef's inspiration. All entrees come with focaccia bread, soup, salad, dessert and a drink (including freshly-squeezed juices). There is cozy seating upstairs and a five-person downstairs seating bar by the open kitchen. --By Karen Sims, translated by Julie Chen
