This bistro, offering good meals, cocktails and wines, becomes a cozy, relaxing hang-out after 9 p.m., when the lights are dimmed. The menu includes various imported beers, whiskies (from NT$130), fried finger foods (from NT$150), pasta and risotto entrees (from NT$280), and steak dinners (NT$380-600). Penne Rigate with Basamico & Mascarpone Cream & Pine Nuts (NT$300) features an aged balsamico vinegar wine-sour cream mix poured over penne for layers of sweet and sour flavors that pair well with pine nuts. Classic Classic Spanish beverage Sangria (NT$250) also offers rich, fruity flavors. C. Crispy Ham Hock with Mustard Sauce (NT$530) presents a pork shank sauteed with white wine, beer, vinegar, and other ingredients. It simmers for two hours until soft before being air-dried, deep-fried and roasted--a complicated process that preserves its pleasing crispiness.
