Situated behind Taichung City Hall, this spacious dining spot is part of the Karuisawa restaurant chain and offers lots of natural light, excellent scenery and extra-high ceilings. It's a great place to bring children, who can play in the sandbox outside, and one can also check out the pond, buy cultural merchandise, fruit and vegetables. Menu items include pasta entrees (NT$180-300), risotto, salads, sandwiches, waffles, fresh juices, coffee and herbal tea.
