La Kitchen has enjoyed a long-time good reputation in Taichung and its inviting interior, decorated in a romantic, low-key European style, has been a popular spot among many local gourmands. Specially-creative, freshly made and upscale, but home-style, dishes here include the very popular Mushroom Abalone Fried Rice, Sea Urchin Mullet Roe Pasta, and Sirloin Steak.

Left: Sea Urchin Mullet Roe Pasta (NT$660):
Every nibble of this entree offers a
strong seafood flavor as the savory sea
urchins and grated mullet roe with
sauce cling to the chewy noodles, adding
a pleasant saltiness.
Right: Sirloin Steak (NT$480): Beef is diced perfectly into mouth-sized cubes, topped with
lots of crispy garlic slices and sprinkled with sea salt to make this a multi-flavored steak
sensation.

Left: Maple Syrup Lemon Chicken (NT$350):
The tasty, tender chewy chicken in this
dish meat is non-greasy and topped with
specially-made fresh and lightly-sweet
maple syrup.
Right:

Left: Mushroom Abalone Fried Rice (NT$650): Firm but chewy top-quality
mushrooms and shredded abalone are served with a flavorful, smooth
rice fried to perfection with oyster oil.
