Located in Taichung Folklore Park, Dinxinzhan resembles something from a kung-fu movie and has a variety of stir-fried dishes, table set menus (from NT$1,380) and set meals (from NT$180). Entrees include Braised Dongpo Pork with Pickled Vegetable, Matsuzaka Pork, Steamed Rice in Bamboo Tube with Cured Meat, and Spareribs Soup with Burdock. The vintage-looking, traditional architecture features red tiles, slanting rooflines, cut-out doors and winding corridors.

Squid and Spiral Shell Soup's (NT$480) delicious ingredients include dried squid, spiral shells, spareribs, bamboo shoots, green scallions and clams. Assorted Ingredient Casserole (NT$220) contains Chinese vermicelli and vegetables, including Japanese Honeysuckle, broccoli and baby Chinese cabbage, plus jelly ears with some dried shrimp.

Tender Chicken with Mushrooms and Steamed Rice in Bamboo Tube (NT$220/set), also available for take-out, comes with two side dishes, a soup and lemon pickled plums. Crispy Chicken (NT$350 half-chicken) is made of roasted Chinese herbal-marinated chicken.
