TOKUKAGO JAPANESE RESTAURANT

100, ShanXi Road
Closed 停業

Chef Chen, who possesses years of Japanese cooking experience, is so impressive that the owner of this restaurant was convinced to open this establishment. The NT$320 set meals come with a total of nine items, including an appetizer, rolls, salad, steamed dish, a main course, rice, soup and dessert. Main courses include Roast Pepper Lamb, Salted Barbecue Mackerel, Cream Beef, and Liquor Pork Chop, made with "P-Toro"--the meat around the pig's neck area. In order to provide the best-quality cuisine, all ingredients are carefully selected, such as the P-Toro, which is limited to two portions per pig. As a result, its cost is relatively higher than other products. However, the restaurant doesn't settle for cheaper replacements, allowing it to provide tasty textures that other parts of the pig can't replace. Celery here is prepared with iced water to bring out a crunchiness. Salmon Steamed Rice is served with chewy white rice that is hard to resist. The desserts are also delicious, including a must-try Okinawa Black Sugar Jelly. The NT$139 Business Lunch comes with a main course, side dishes, steamed egg and drink. In the winter, hot pots are also available.
