Located in quiet green corner under the shade trees along DaRong East Street, Kitchen Bar is a simple, quiet restaurant that has been in business for over a dozen years. As you walk in, the warm, welcoming Taiwan Zelkova wooden flooring and an elegant chandelier give the place a homey feeling.

The restaurant offers authentic European and French cuisine. Prices are very reasonable and business lunches include Fried Beef with Garlic (NT$380), and Baked Pork Knuckle with Sauerkraut (NT$480). You can also enjoy a two-dish combination for NT$380 or a three-dish combination for NT$480, and choose from a variety of authentic European and French selections, including clams, baked live oysters, veal, beef short ribs, roasted cuttlefish, braised chicken leg and much more. Dinner, priced at NT$980, features three main courses to choose from and is prepared by a chef well-known on Taipei's five-star hotel circuit. Main ingredients include ribeye and fillet steaks, salmon, prawns, lamb chops, codfish and pork knuckles. If you are dining in the company of three or four people, you and your companions can almost sample every main course they offer.

As an authentic European-French restaurant, Kitchen Bar's management operates the business from the customer's standpoint, ensuring that diners can enjoy a variety of delicate European cuisine for reasonable prices. The desserts should not be missed, either. Their specially-made Panna Cotta is deliciously smooth, fragrant and sweet, making it hard to resist seconds. French-style crepes are also available. These are pan-fried with a dash of Cointreau. The crepe is soft, but not soggy, and is eaten with a dollop of mango ice cream, a superb combination of sweet and sour, hot and cold. The tableside service adds an extra element of fun to your dessert time.

Diners making reservations receive the added bonus of having no service charge and a complimentary dish of Burgundy Style Escargots (Snails) or Baby Octopus Adriatico Style for each table.
