Asian Fusion, as its name implies, offers a refreshing mix of exquisite Chinese and Japanese cuisine, creatively prepared by Japanse Chef Muramatsu Yoshinori and Chinese Chef Alan Hsu. Located on the B2 level of the just-opened Freshfields Resort & Conference, this 120-seat, upscale establishment looks out onto an attractive lawn and garden and--much further away--a spectacular panorama of the entire city. Both Japanese and Chinese chefs enjoy using traditionally-Western ingredients to prepare their cuisine with resulting dishes like the Home Made Cheese Beancurd (NT$150 for two people), a delicious, honey-sweet appetizer that tastes like it belongs on a French menu. A large selection of a la carte appetizers, soups, salads, entrees and desserts includes shark's fin, abalone and other seafood; clay pot dishes; steamed, baked and deep-fried dishes; sashimi and sushi variations, vegetarian dishes; and desserts. Tasty dishes include Sliced Tuna Sashimi (NT$280), Fillet of Chicken with Sweet and Sour Sauce (NT$320), Braised Shanghai Vegetable Rice (NT$160), Stir-Fried Asparagus with Lily (NT$260), and Shark's Fin Soup Dumplings (NT$220). All are prepared without artificial additives. There are also various Japanese, Chinese or mixed set-menu meals that range from NT$880 to NT$1,800 per person. For private parties, there are three VIP rooms seating eight to 36 guests.
