Using high-quality pasta imported from Italy,
all dishes here are cooked on demand and require a 10 to 13
minute wait; to enjoy really delicious pasta, you must have
patience. Beef Tripe Stewed Florence-Style (NT$60) is a delicious
appetizer, a refreshing combination of beef stripe stewed
with fresh tomatoes and white kidney beans. Main-course pastas
are priced between NT$168 and NT$300. Salted Baby Eel, Chinese
Kale and Cherry Tomatos with Slap Tublar (NT$178) is an authentic
Napoli dish. Its thicker pasta goes especially well with the
slightly spicy sauce. For an extra NT$70, you can enjoy their
uniquely-flavored Pumpkin Soup, and traditional Northern Italian
Slipper Bread with a tuna paste that has pickled beans and
cucumbers inside. Northern Italian Slipper breads are made
with imported French flour and the dough has high water content.
As a result, it has a soft slipper-like shape. The outside
layer is chewy but not tough; the inside has a superbly soft
texture and tastes fabulous with the special slightly sour-tasting
tuna paste--a real must-try. Head Chef JP also recommends
their Lemon Tart (NT$60) for dessert. It provides a wonderfully
harmonious taste combination of lemon in a tart. The decor
at K2 Cucina is bright and comfortable, making it also a lovely
place even for afternoon tea. |
