Near the Canal District south of Taichung Harbor Road is a vegetarian restaurant that uses all-natural ingredients with no preservatives.  White sugar and honey (due to the fact that bees are sometimes killed during the extraction of honey from the hive) are avoided; noodles are made from whole wheat organic flour, sea salt and magnetized water; vegetables and fruits are seasonal and naturally grown without the use of pesticides.  The menu features a selection of set meals (all reasonably priced at or below NT$230).  Natural fruit juices, fruit teas, snacks and ala carte dishes are also available. Economical business lunches will soon be offered at NT$100.  If you are a strict vegetarian (no eggs, onion or garlic), please specify this when ordering.  Hope also sells natural health foods.
