Ta Wan Jing Hot Pot has a 6-year history with two outlets in Taichung and one in Taipei.  The manager of the outlet on Ching Hai Rd. is a young, enthusiastic woman.  As most of the customers are regulars, she knows them by name.  This restaurant is conveniently located, and the food is absolutely unforgettable.Its specialties include mini (i.e., one person) hot pot.  In addition, you can choose if you want to have hot pot alone or with Korean barbecue.  Recommended dishes include barbecued salmon with hot pot, grilled steak with hot pot and Kimchee hot pot.  For the hot pot, there are more than 10 ingredients that come piled high on a large plate.  The food is fresh, the place is clean, and the prices are unbeatable.  For NT$150 you can eat until you are more than full.  Added to all of that, beverages are free.
