Goddess of Mercy Temple-Lui-Dau-Tamshui has been re-constructing for several years. Lately, it has finally finished. There are total five floors, including one basement floor. The wooden building is a imitative design of Tang Dynasty. This building has become a new place to visit on holidays in Tamshui The building is worthy to take a look, even though you are not Buddhist. All the Buddhist Gods are placed in first floor lobby for people to pay their respects. The holy relics are placed on second floor. The chanting lobby is located on fourth floor. The top floor is the observatory deck for people to view the sky and the moonlight. The third floor is the coffee shop and the fifth floor is the vegetarian restaurant. The outdoor area has waterfall and scenic decorative creek with bridge on top. It also has a pond and walking path covered with grass, stone sculptures of Buddha and Japanese garden. Visitors can definitely enjoy the peace and relaxation here. You can take Taipei Metro to get here by exiting at Red Forest Station. Free shuttle service will run in between Metro and the destination accordingly between 9 am to 8 pm. -- by Selena Huang, Translated by Kate Kuo(³¢®ü«Â)
