Business and leisure individual and group travelers looking for comfortable, reasonably-priced lodging in the heart of Taichung near the train station can opt for this new hotel, located on the eighth through 12th floors of Taichung's First Square shopping/entertainment complex. A first-floor lobby is located just off First Square's main plaza and provides elevator access upstairs. First Plaza's 60 single and double bed rooms, ranging in size from about eight to 15 pings, are comfortable and nicely outfitted with down-filled comforters, a 32-inch TV, writing desk and free ADSL high-speed Internet plug-in access and bottled water. All guests get their choice of a free McDonald's breakfast, which can either be delivered in or eaten at the restaurant's nearby outlet. There is also access to fax and photocopying equipment.
