This new 197-room hotel truly aims to set itself apart by embracing artistic expression and creativity like never before. As hotel Chairwoman Eva Liu says, "art, creativity and literature" are the main themes here. Situated near Feng Chia University (near LiMing and FuXing North roads) as part of a "Culture Boulevard" shopping arcade that is under development, In One City Inn is more of a boutique hotel, targeting foreign and local individual travelers. The smallish rooms are attractive and nicely outfitted with amenities. What really stands out, though, are things like a Shakespeare-themed floor, where every room is themed after a Shakespearean poem, which the guest is given when they check in. Headspring Theatre Artistic Director Chang Wang has also been invited to paint the ceilings and walls of 12 special guest rooms--a work in progress that guests can interact with--and organize various artistic events at the hotel and adjacent street. On the more practical side, there is a large underground parking lot, two attractive restaurants for guest to get Western/Chinese breakfasts, a small gym with free foot-spa facilities, business center with free Internet, two waiting lounges for visitors, and two small conference rooms.
