During summer people tend to flee the jam-packed cities and plan a vacation in the Kenting area. There's a peaceful and undisturbed place called Ipanema Surf house, only three minutes from Baisha beach, which is worth a try. With exotic interior designs and choreographed decoration, the whole hostel reveals a Caribbean, Tropical, Latin Country Style. While staying here, you have full use of their Brazilian BBQ, swimming pool (with outdoor showering), hammocks and free internet. Currently it has two big rooms (the Brazil room for up to seven people, and the Costa Rica room for up to four people) and a Hawaiian attic that sleeps three. This fantastic hostel provides air-conditioning, while maintaining a per person charge of only NT$350 a night. The owner is a Brazilian-Taiwanese surfer with great hospitality, ensuring every traveler has lots of fun and is made to feel like they are staying at home. The next time you visit the area don't forget to stop by this hostel, which encourages you to linger without any thought of leaving.
