Great service and high-quality food is the name of the game at Terrace Fine Food Garden. Located on a quiet street just behind the Ming Cheng McDonald's, this restaurant offers breads, pastries, fine coffees, exquisite chocolates, sandwiches, salads and cake. The calm, relaxing atmosphere makes Terrace a nice place to stop in for coffee and cake (NT$120-150) or maybe just a few Tapas dishes (NT$35). Over 20 varieties of bread (NT$75-110) and buns (NT$35-65) are definitely worth the price. The sandwiches (NT$120) start with just-baked bread and, depending on what's fresh, are topped with lettuce, cheese, tomato and bacon. The handmade chocolates are rich, nutty little squares of deliciousness, all lined up in a nice display (NT$40-80) as well. For the pantry at home, you can pick up high-quality pasta sauces, coffee, jams and preserves, wines and cheeses.
