--By Mark Evans, translated by Annie Liu
Tired of drinking bitter coffee flavoured
with 5 different syrups? Dutty Coffee is a specialist coffee
shop, owned and operated by three young Taiwanese guys who
are very serious about their coffee. Dutty's atmosphere is
very relaxed, with comfortable outdoor seating and indoor
seating at the bar. The cafe is filled with a vast array of
beans from around the world and a large range of coffee-making
paraphernalia. Although the owners' English is limited (no
English menus), the guys will happily try to answer any questions
you have about coffee, roasting or life in general. Standard
coffee prices apply, NT$50 for an espresso/machiatto, NT$80
for a latte and a small range of cakes or biscuits for a little
extra. These cafe are truly unique in Kaohsiung and well worth
a visit.
