Attention shoppers! A new shopping center has now opened in Kaohsiung's CianJhen District to serve your consumer needs. Opened in September, this new center features nearly twenty clothing stores, four shoe shops, a food court, three restaurants and two cafes, all conveniently located underneath the new Carrefour. The hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m., with slight variations for some of the outlets.

The ground floor of this facility is laid out in a similar fashion to North American shopping malls, with individual shops lining a central hallway. There are a number of accessory shops selling everything from home aroma therapy products to eyeglasses and hand bags, as well as two jewelry shops and a SWATCH outlet. There are several shoe shops such as GOEX Breathes and Pierre Cardin. The clothing shops include a Nike Factory Outlet, Levi Strauss Signature and Calvin Klein Jeans, which all offer brand name merchandise at low prices, as well as Hang Ten, Baleno and Giordano. The second and third floors house the Carrefour supermarket.

The food court is small, offering six different kiosks of regular fare. However, the restaurants and Cafe Songjing (seafood buffet), Sushi Express, EZKON Cafe and Dante Coffee Shop all have enclosed seating to escape the bustle of the mall atmosphere. If you are a lover of fast food, there is a KFC located on the main level as well.
The center is the perfect place for families to visit and one can see this most clearly during the weekend. This center is beside the new IKEA and across the street from Costco. While it may be a bit out of the way for many Kaohsiung residents, its position in relation to these other shopping icons mean that a trip to this end of the city is well worth it.
