The first step inside Berlin, better known as the Dainese Racing accessories shop, galvanizes the senses and transports the imagination to the Assen Superbike Grand Prix. The smell of leather pervades the shop and images of brightly colored logos silhouetted on stylish black jackets magnetize the eye. The walls are lined with an impressive selection of every superbike accessory imaginable. From boots and helmets to jackets and back-protectors, the Dainese Racing accessories shop offers high quality equipment from the major brands in the racing world. Although the store is new to Kaohsiung the two managers, Jerry and A-Chun, operate a similar outfit in both Taipei and Taichung where they also lease and rent superbikes to the public. In Kaohsiung they hope to welcome customers to the new superbike scene that has long existed elsewhere on the island. So, whether you are a competitor training for the 2006 Grand Prix on the Isle of Mann or just like to window shop and live out those checkered-flag fantasies, stop in for a peek.
