Mindy & Jess Bookstore, which has
been well known among bookworms for about four years,
is located in a thriving new neighborhood in the northern
part of Kaohsiung City. It aims to be a community booktore.
The establishment used to be a large sports club, which
was then rebuilt into a three-floor venue. The basement
has general books, while the first floor contains a diverse
selection of magazines. Adjacent there is a computer
store and a vegetarian eatery. The second floor sells
stationery. Discounts are available pretty much all the
time. The boss, who's a native of Kaohsiung, runs Mindy & Jess
as a wholesale business. So, like Carrefour, it offers
wholesale prices directly to retail customers. Mindy & Jess
also incorporates the online Jess Bookstore, and will
soon open two more branches in Kaohsiung, on SanDuo Road
and YangMing Road.
