Every now and then a really great movie comes along. All your friends tell you about how it's a must see, but you never make it to the cinema. This writer has seen many a great movie on VCD or DVD that I wished I could have seen on the big screen. Well, at ShrChiuan 2nd run Movie Theatre your window of opportunity just got longer. ShrChiuan Movie Theatre (not to be confused with the much larger Cinemark Movie Theatre complex on the corner of ZihYou and ShihCuan Roads) is also located on ShihCuan Road, but further down (past JhongHua Road while heading east). They replay movies three or four months after those movies have finished playing at other theaters around town. A ticket costs around NT$120 (half price for students and soldiers). If you're neither student nor solider, simply purchase a drink from the Coffee Bar located right in front of the theater, and they will lend you a V.I.P card good for 50% off your ticket purchase.
