The DuDu train
service, created for the Lantern Festival, is being continued so
that Kaohsiung residents and visitors from other parts of Taiwan
can enjoy this convenient and interesting tour. The train uses tracks
near the harbor which are seldom open to passenger traffic. Tourists
can enjoy good views of the port, the Love River, and the Tuntex
85 Tower. Kaohsiung Train Station is cooperating with McDonald's,
which serves food to passengers on the train. Each seat is equipped
with a personal VCD player, and a large LCD screen shows images
of Kaohsiung. The DuDu tour is 27 kilometers long, and takes one
and a half hours. The train runs five times a day. Tickets can be
purchased at Kaohsiung Train Station. --Written and translated by
