Zone 18 is a relaxing, comfortable lounge
to enjoy an appetizing cocktail with some friends. The
decor is modern without being kitschy, and the atmosphere
is deep city tranquil. They have a variety of exotic
foods, and if you call ahead of time, they can arrange
any sort of party that you want and can also prepare
special customized food or drinks. Zone 18 is a place
that can tailor its menu to you.
Inside, you can discover diverse accessories
from all over the world, which the owner Vikki has collected
in her travels. The unique drinks, down-tempo lounge
music as well as the chilled atmosphere are great for
unwinding.
If you want to try some fine cuisine,
the garlic sugar fried shrimp is sure not to be missed,
or if you feel like having some ethnic food, the German
Pig Knuckle (NT$380) really is a delicacy, or maybe
try the salty crisp mini-crabs, a seafood classic. If
you're feeling experimental, perhaps try the Oriental
Cherry Shrimp Scrambles Rice(NT$150) which is definitely
a good choice. Zone 18 also regularly promotes many
seasonal specials.
Besides their delicious food, the servers
are attentive and well mannered, and will try their
best to meet your needs. Coming here makes you feel
like being in a good friend's home and enables you to
finally release that built-up pressure from a hectic
week.
Zone 18 is a fusion of a fashionable New-York lounge
style tapas bar with an oriental flair--but without
the expensive Manhattan prices. Every Thursday is all-you-can-drink
night (male NT$600/ female NT$400), no matter what your
poison (think loads of martinis here). Weekends have
a variety of specials, changing almost every other week.
So next time when you want to go out
for a drink, but you're not in the mood for a pub or
disco, stop by Zone 18 to sip one of their unique concoctions
and just chill out.
