It's quite a party at Monkey Party, the new three-part business opened by the Taiwanese brand Banana Chippy - A Jolly Monkey. You walk in off the street to Monkey Party I, an outlet for Banana Chippy clothing, displaying all sorts of cute, colorful wares tended by sales girls with tails! To the right of this is Monkey Party II, a coffee shop selling coffee, drinks and food. The coffee on offer ranges from normal coffee to Americanos to Caramel Macchiatos (NT$35 - NT$60). Tea also comes in an assortment of flavors, from Green tea to Apple to Tangerine (NT$40 - NT$80). Meals are fair sized and fair priced, with pasta and rice dishes ranging between NT$120 to NT$150. They have set lunches between the hours of 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. - 2 a.m. for NT$99. So you can stop, shop and snack all in the same place.

If that's not enough monkey business for you, head upstairs to Monkey Party III Lounge Bar. The small yet inviting space is perfect for private parties. The bartender can mix you any drink you wish and dazzle you while he does it. Then you can proceed down the wide walkway that runs through the middle of large colorful sofas piled with pillows - where you can enjoy snacks of the chicken, duck, or squid chip variety (no English menu) and do some serious drinking. Besides your usual cocktails (from NT$200), they have a large selection of Belgian beers and fruit beers (NT$180 - NT$500) as well as bottles of various whiskeys (from NT$1000), vodkas (from NT$1500), wines (from NT$1200) and champagnes (from NT$2300). All-in-all Banana Chippy has given you a place to make a monkey of yourself - so go wild.
