Dancers, loungers and partygoers alike
should watch out for Fabric - a trendy club with beats,
booze and big parties to tickle your fancy. Located
on SihWei 4th Road, it's modest exterior opens onto
a dimly lit walkway that takes you past lounge areas,
a dance floor and lets you off at the bar. There are
lots of low, cushioned seats in the lounge areas and
high leopard print stools along the bar and (as the
name suggests) an array of fabric lining the interior
walls.
The dance floor isn't huge, but has
ample space for some serious grooving and is highlighted
by strobe lights and a disco ball. Behind the dance
floor, next to the DJ booth, a big screen enhances your
dancing experience with dance videos. The drink menu
is impressive and includes everything from beer (NT$150),
cocktails (NT$200 - N$T500), and spirits (NT$180) to
wines (NT$180 a glass) and Champagnes (NT$2000 - NT$5000
a bottle). Also on the menu are Frozen Test Tubes, which
sound like the start of an exciting night as you get
25 test tubes for NT$600.
Serving more than alcoholic beverages
the menu also offers soft drinks (NT$100), juices (NT$150)
and snacks. Chinese dishes such as Fried Golden Tofu,
Kung Pao Chicken and Stir Fried Onion Beef go for NT$150,
NT$180 and NT$200 respectively. Exotic dishes (western
fare) also come at good prices. You can order common
appetizers such as French Fries (NT$100), Salsa Chips
(NT$120) and Buffalo Wings (NT$180), as well as main
dishes such as a Cheeseburger (NT$180), Red Wine Sauteed
Beef Ribs (NT$180) and Japanese BBQ Beef (NT$300).
Wednesday and Thursday nights are fee
entry, but on other nights cover starts from NT$200
for girls and NT$400 for boys. Tickets can be exchanged
for drinks.
