Would you like to have a glass of wine
in an elegant and cozy ambiance? And an idea of how
to make a choice when there are too many kinds of wine
to choose from? "The Valley of Breeze", the
first wine tavern in Kaohsiung, not only provides a
comfortable space to enjoy wine tasting, but also has
more than forty varieties of selected wines from California
to satisfy all the guests' needs.
The owner, Mr. Si, insists on choosing
Californian wines, because he doesn't think that the
quality is inferior to that of French wines. He hopes
people can taste high quality wines, at reasonable prices.
Mr. Si recommends that beginners try the "Sutter
Home (red wine) or Woodbridge (white wine) since they
are the mildest (NT$300 per glass). If you are more
of a wine glutton, you can try the awarded "Beringer
Private Reserve". Apart from wines, they offer
other alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and some light refreshments.
Customers are welcome to bring their own food, but should
remember to notify The Valley of Breeze beforehand!
The store is decorated with different
sections of colors, including bright green, pink and
claret to display the concept of different graperies
in the Napa Valley. In this delicate space, the setting
is not as dim as in other lounge bars. What The Valley
of Breeze wants to create is a bright, comfortable and
safe place for tasting wine. And their services are
considerate in many ways. For example, they offer Internet
while you are having your afternoon tea. For those interested
in wine tasting, there are some classes to increase
your knowledge, and everyone is welcome to join!
